RCMP calling on young people to help name a dozen new foals

Share

The RCMP’s annual foal naming contest has just kicked off and children across Canada are invited to help choose a name.

Each year a new letter is picked for the foal’s name and for 2023, all names must begin with the letter “W” for the 150th anniversary of the Musical Ride.

To qualify for the competition, applications must be 14-years-old or younger, enter only once and reside in Canada.

The last day to enter will be no later than April 21st.

The RCMP Musical Ride will choose up to 12 winning names from across Canada. This includes one classroom entry and one entry from the Musical Ride’s Open House in February.

Winners will be announced this spring on the RCMP website as well on social media.

Each child who wins will receive special prizes which have yet to be announced.

Let’s get creative, Victoria! Click here to submit your entry.
