Ice cream lovers, rejoice!
Following a successful stint at Uptown Shopping Centre last year, Softys has moved into a permanent location and will serve up their delicious soft-serve, including dairy-free, 365 days a year!
The company operated out of a small camper-like food truck last summer and have now taken over the former Kiosk spot where Pachulah formally resided (they have relocated within the the boulevard area).
Softys officially opened their doors today, Friday April 28th, just in time for the sunshine.
To celebrate the opening, they posted a humorous reel letting the community know they were ready to serve Uptown visitors 7 days a week, 12 months a year.
According to the companies website, Softys, a dairy-free soft serve dessert, is a treat that consumers can feel great about indulging in.
It’s a product that has a minimal environmental impact, served in compostable packaging, and sold from electric carts. The ingredients are locally sourced, and 1% of the sales are donated to the 1% for the Planet initiative.
The dessert is made fresh from gluten-free oat and coconut milk, with only the highest quality natural ingredients and is becoming the beginning of a popular tradition on the Island.
