In typical fashion, and out of the blue, it rained again on Victoria Day.
Despite the weather, thousands of people lined the streets of Douglas Street in downtown Victoria on Monday to take in the bands, floats, dancers and more participating in the 123rd Thrifty Foods Victoria Day Parade.
There were 85 entries in this year’s parade, up from 65 in 2022, and marks the second year of return since COVID restrictions dropped.
While many of the usual entrants were missing from this year’s parade, those taking in the event were treated to 14 marching bands, including from Reynolds Secondary and Spectrum.
If you are looking to relive the moment, or if you couldn’t make it, below are are some photos from yesterday’s amazing event, or you can re-watch our live stream here.
