Another year, another Highland Games!
Events will commence this May long weekend with an action-packed schedule for you to enjoy while you soak up the sun.
It’s a celebration of Scottish and Celtic arts and culture featuring pipe bands, highland dancers, fiddle performances, heavy event challenges, and folk performances.
The festivities will take place on May 20th and May 21st at Topaz Park.
A few highlighted events include the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band, Professional Heavy Events, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band, USMC, and Canadian Invitational Drum Major Championship.
Additionally, there are specialty beer, wine, and whiskey tastings for participants aged 19 and over. In fact, for an extra registration fee, you can participate in the two-day Whiskey and Wine Tasting School – become a weekend connoisseur, if you will.
Bringing the family? Tickets are free for children 12 and under and there is a large free entertainment area for the kids!
Tickets for youth and adults aged 13 and above can be purchased through Eventbrite and at the Strathcona Liquor store for a discounted price.
Tickets are also available for cash purchase at the Games gates.
