Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers have released a video of a violent assault that took place in Central Saanich last year with hopes of furthering the investigation.

Just after 11 a.m. on June 10th, police were dispatched to Stelly’s Secondary School after a student was violently attacked in the school’s parking lot by several people wearing face coverings.

At the time, police only released photos of the suspect vehicle but have since released video and photos of the suspects attacking a young teen.

A graphic video shows five masked individuals armed with weapons approach three students. The version released to the public shows one of the students being attacked by these people with a mallet, knife, and baseball bat.

Police are asking for assistance from the public in identifying the suspects involved in the attack and the black 2013 BMW 335I 4dr car in the photo that fled the scene with the assailants.

It is not known if the suspects are connected to the school, however, the attack is believed to be targeted.

Anyone with information or can identify the suspects and vehicle is asked to call Central Saanich police at 250-652-4441. Or you can call it in anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
