Police seek assistance locating missing 42-year-old Duncan man last seen May 2nd

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are seeking the public’s help finding a missing man who was last seen nearly one week ago. 

Joseph Alexander Smith, “Joey”, was last seen in Duncan at around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2nd.

At the time he was last seen, Smith was reportedly wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt, a dark-coloured vest, dark sweat pants and Air Jordan shoes. 

Police describe Smith as a Caucasian man, standing 5’9” tall, weighing around 225 pounds, with a dark-coloured Mohawk haircut. 

He and his black 2006 Chevrolet Colorado 4-door truck were both last seen together and his vehicle hasn’t turned up since he went missing. 

The license plate of Smith’s truck is BR8964.

Police say he has not been in contact with close friends or family since he was last seen and they are concerned for his well-being.
