The Victoria Day long weekend is coming and we all know what that means!

The Greater Victoria Festival Society is delighted to present the much-anticipated Thrifty Foods 123rd Victoria Day Parade, in beautiful British Columbia’s capital city.

Taking place on Monday, May 22nd, from 9 a.m. onwards, this iconic parade begins at Mayfair Mall (Douglas and Finlayson) and continues along Douglas Street finishing at the intersection of Douglas and Humboldt Street.

The parade will showcase the rich diversity of cultures, embracing the vibrant theme of “That 70’s Parade.”

With participation from many businesses and non-profit organizations, over 80 parade entries promise a captivating display of creativity and community spirit.

Additionally, mark your calendars for the Battle of the Bands on Sunday afternoon, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Due to unforeseen construction near the Parliament, the Saturday performances had to be canceled. However, fear not, as Sunday’s event will bring you an up-close and personal experience on the lawn.

Get ready to groove to the beats of the University of Washington, making a triumphant return to the stage. This promises to be an unforgettable celebration, dedicated to all the attendees who make this event truly special.

In addition to those festivities, there will be a ton of activities happening at Centennial Square between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday. There will be market, food trucks, live performances and bouncy castles.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic weekend of festivities!
