There will be an extremely low tide at Port Renfrew’s Botanical Beach this weekend

Ready to explore the incredible tide pools at Botanical Beach?

This weekend, Port Renfrew’s Botanical Beach will experience super low tides, but an early wake-up call will be necessary to catch them.

Those living in and around Victoria will want to head out two hours prior to ensure you arrive in time. And while you’re headed that way, make sure to take in the the amazing scenery along the way.

Port Renfrew is accessible via Highway 14 that connects Langford to Sooke, and Sooke to Port Renfrew. Motorists can also drive the Circle Route via Cowichan Lake.

On Saturday, a low tide of 0.7 meters will occur at 8:03 a.m., following a high tide at just after 1 a.m.

An even lower tide of 0.6 meters will occur at 8:42 a.m., following a high tide at 1:46 a.m. on Sunday. Another 0.6 meter low tide will occur on Monday at 9:24 a.m.

At high tide, the water will be at approximately 3.5 meters high.

In addition to the tide pools, you can discover all sorts of cool marine life and see the stunning sandstone cliffs that the Pacific Ocean carved out.

Plus, there are some awesome hiking trails that take you through beautiful forests.
