Saanich Police are looking to identify a couple believed to be in their 60s who turned in a wallet last year.
On October 12th, 2022, two people attended the Saanich Police Department to turn in a wallet they had found while walking in the Blenkinsop Lake Park area.
Since that time, the wallet has been linked to a historical file dating back to the late 1980s.
Police say detectives with the major crimes unit are seeking more information from the couple that could help with the investigation.
“We know some time has passed since this wallet was turned in but we’re hopeful that these two individuals hear this and come forward to speak with our investigators,” said Cst. Markus Anastasiades.”
Anastasiades confirmed to Victoria Buzz the historic file is a cold case but could not release any other information.
