“Yee-haw”, those were the words that came out of the mouth of a Victoria resident after finding out they won thousands of dollars!
Brent Smith was delighted to discover that he matched 5/6+ numbers from the April 22nd, BC/49 draw, netting him a cool $75,000 prize.
According to BCLC, the Victoria resident purchased the ticket on impulse while at the Mobil gas station on Attree Avenue and was at home when he found out the news of his win.
“I was on the couch and said, ‘Yee-haw!’… It’s so exciting,” he said.
Smith said he has plans to put the prize towards his retirement, which he’s hoping to be soon after this win.
“It feels great,” he said of how it feels to be a winner.
