Take out your day planners and calendars, Victoria — the Victoria Royals have released their opening day schedule for the upcoming season.
It was announced today that the Victoria Royals will host a pair of games at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre against the Prince George Cougars to kick off their season at home.
The first game will be on Friday, September 29th, while the second game will take place on Saturday, September 30th.
“The Cougars are a great rival…[it’s going] to be a classic B.C. Division rivalry game,” said General Manager and Head Coach, Dan Price.
It’s true! Everyone loves a good rivalry game — the anticipation and the tension is unbeatable!
We not only have the energy to look forward to, but a first look at the team as well.
“The team has been growing not only in recent seasons, but in recent weeks and months, and the group will be prepared, energized and ready to put on a great show.”
The last scheduled game against the Cougars on March 18th ended in a win for the Royals after a nail biting shootout to finish — the final score reading 7-6, scored by Brayden Schuurman.
And yes, a schedule for pre-season games has been released…but none are in Victoria.
Stay tuned for the home opener weekend tickets or jump ahead and treat yourself to a full hockey season with the full season tickets.
The Royals will also be announcing their full 68-game WHL regular-season schedule on Tuesday, June 27th.
Best to keep your eyes peeled for their full team roster too — yet to be released!
