RCMP have halted their search for a 39-year-old Lake Cowichan man who was reported missing on May 31st.
Matthew Mueller went missing a day prior to being reported missing and he was believed to be travelling to the Kamloops area, but had no communications with his family who became concerned for his well-being.
On Wednesday June 7th, Lake Cowichan RCMP announced that Mueller’s body had been found in the Kamloops area as suspected and the BC Coroners Service is taking over the investigation from here.
“The BC Coroners Service was notified and is investigating this death, which occurred in the Kamloops area,” said Ryan Panton, BC Coroners Service spokesperson.
“As we’re early in the process of trying to determine all of the facts, I have no additional information to provide at this time.”
