RCMP seek help locating missing Lake Cowichan man last seen on May 30th (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Sadly, Matthew Mueller, a missing man from Lake Cowichan man missing has been found deceased by police in Kamloops.

Matthew Mueller went missing a day prior to being reported missing and he was believed to be travelling to the Kamloops area, but had no communications with his family who became concerned for his well-being.

Lake Cowichan RCMP are seeking the publics help in locating a 39-year-old man who was reported missing on May 31st.

In a media release, police say Matthew Mueller was last seen on May 30th, and although he had telephone contact with his family the following day, he has not been heard from since.

Concerns for his well-being have grown, prompting the police to seek assistance from the community.

Described as a Caucasian man standing at 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighing around 190 pounds, Mueller has a slim build with short, dark blonde hair and blue eyes. He sports a distinctive gargoyle sleeve tattoo on his right arm.

RCMP say they have reason to believe that Mueller may be in the Kamloops area.

The prolonged lack of communication with his family is considered unusual, raising concerns that he may require medical attention.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Lake Cowichan RCMP at 250-749-6668. Alternatively, individuals can provide anonymous tips by contacting Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
