There’s a massive free family-friendly festival happening on upper Fort Street this weekend

Clear a path!

Fort Street, between Vancouver and Cook Streets, will be closed to vehicles and cyclists this Saturday, June 3rd—and for good reason!

There’s a new downtown event called Upper FortFest and you’re invited to check out the entertainment they have lined up.

Not only is it free to attend, there are also activities available for all ages. Load up your kids and take them to the bouncy castle or bring your friends over to the adult beverage garden by Bear & Joey.

Last July, the boundaries of the Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA) were expanded and an appetite to bring back car-free zone events inspired organizers to create Upper FortFest.

DVBA hopes to draw locals downtown and evoke community connection as well as summer fun!

“Upper Fort StreetFest is a chance for the public to come downtown and enjoy some of our amazing one-of-a-kind shops and eateries,” said DVBA CEO, Jeff Bray.

“This family friendly event will showcase our incredible business community and our amazing downtown.”

Other events and entertainment will include a local artisan market, a balloon twister, a silent disco, live music, a dunk tank, drag story time, and two photobooths (even one for the doggos)!
