The first recorded incident was on May 17th at around 12:30 p.m. — police say the male suspect was reported to be partially clothed and within view of the nearby View Royal Elementary School.

West Shore RCMP responded and conducted patrols but were unable to locate the suspect.

On June 7th at 2:36 p.m., police received a second report of the suspicious suspect matching the first description. The individual was said to be walking northbound along the E&N trail at the same location.

West Shore RCMP officers, the Bike Patrol Unit, and Traffic Unit conducted extensive foot and vehicle patrols of the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

At this point, there have been no reports of him approaching anyone but police would like to identify him and speak with him.

His description is as follows:

  • Caucasian male in his 20’s
  • Approximately 6 feet tall
  • Medium build
  • Dark shoulder length hair
  • Wearing a cowboy hat and black shorts

West Shore RCMP ask that you contact them at 250-474-2264 if you have any idea of who this might be or if you see him in the area.

They’re also asking anyone with vehicle or home surveillance to check footage in case he’s been captured walking in the area.

School District 61 has been notified of these ongoing investigations.
