This cozy shop has a fairly interesting origin story.

Essentially, a couple of local entrepreneurs thought it would be pretty awesome to start serving high-quality ice cream…so, that’s what they did!

And just like that, they bring you delicious, on-site made ice cream with local ingredients!

Test it out for yourself at their Victoria or their Langford location.

Cold Comfort Ice Cream

Cold Comfort is known for their unique flavours and commitment to serving real ice cream made from real ingredients.

They use organic BC cream, fresh eggs from happy island hens, fair trade sugar and chocolate, fresh fruit and seasonal flowers and herbs, and more!

To note in particular is their Hoyne Dark Matter ice cream served on a vanilla macaron, and their gluten and dairy free flavour, Mint Condition — made with chipped organic and fair trade 70% dark chocolate on cocoa dacquoise.

Softys Ice Cream

This rocking soft-serve ice cream parlor brings milkshakes, sundaes, and classic chocolate dipped cones made from natural ingredients to the table!

Every delicious concoction is made without dairy or gluten — so, anyone can enjoy a stress-free treat.

It has three locations, including Mill Bay, Uptown, and the Malahat SkyWalk!

Hazel’s Ice Cream

Not only does this family-owned and operated ice cream parlor have it’s own location, they also have pop-up carts, and bars available across Western Canada — check the map for all of their spots!

If you try one of their delectable ice cream bars, you’ll want to try them all. From coffee flavoured to bubblegum, there’s bound to be a flavour for you.

If you didn’t think they could get anymore wholesome, their name is in honour of their dog, Hazel — if you see her around, be sure to show her some love too!
