Victoria HarbourCats are gearing up for an action-packed weekend as they host a thrilling three-game series against their playoff-chasing rivals, the Kelowna Falcons.

Kicking off the weekend on Friday at 6:35 p.m. (gates open at 5:30 pm), the evening will feature special giveaways and a 50-50 draw benefiting Tour De Rock.

Saturday’s game, starting at 6:35 pm (gates open at 5 p.m.), is the much-awaited fireworks night! The sky will be lit up in a spectacular display of colors after the game.
Sunday’s matinee game at 1 p.m. (gates open at noon) is bringing an unexpected twist to the promotions.
In a surprising and tongue-in-cheek giveaway, fans have the chance to win a free funeral.
The prize package includes a will package and an insurance and financial review. It’s an unusual yet intriguing offer, and attendees will surely be on the edge of their seats, hoping to take home the season’s highest-value giveaway.
“This is the time of year when the playoff chase and the promotions hit a fever pitch at Wilson’s Group Stadium,” said Christian Stewart, GM of the HarbourCats.
“There is a lot going on off the field, and the team is 20-1 on home field and contending for a WCL championship. People come to our games for the baseball, but also for the promotions and the food trucks — lots come by bike this time of year, with great bike racks inside the complex.”
As of Thursday morning, the HarbourCats are in a tight second-half playoff battle, trailing the Wenatchee AppleSox by just two games. They are also firmly in the wild card running and currently hold the third seed in the North. With crucial games ahead, fans can expect intense on-field action and an electrifying atmosphere in the stadium.
Following the weekend series with Kelowna, the HarbourCats will take on the Nanaimo NightOwls in their final regular-season home games next week.
Then, they hit the road for the last series of the season in Edmonton.
