There’s a summer art exhibition kicking off in Victoria this week

Artists and art appreciators, this is for you!

Beginning Tuesday, July 4th and running until Saturday, July 8th, Fortune Gallery will be presenting this year’s Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) Summer Exhibition, “Expressions.”

Inspired by the idea of artistic expression, this exhibition will showcase the creativity, spontaneity, uniqueness, and passion each of the artists possesses — all tethered by this collective experience that you can enjoy too!

This group show will feature 55 new works from artists in the FCA Victoria Chapter, our own local chapter within the federal FCA.

The FCA is a non-profit organization and was founded in 1941 by working Canadian artists. Current local members include both professional and emerging artists from southern Vancouver Island and the surrounding areas.

Support the artists and check it out — maybe you’ll find a new favourite piece!

There will be an opening reception Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. where you can sip on the provided fruit punch and view the fine art created by local artists and listen in on the awards show!

Join them for their opening evening or sneak in before it ends on Saturday, July 8th to see the collection of works and meet the artists.
