Happy Friday, Victoria!

We all know that dancing and socializing with friends cures all, and this Friday we have plenty of that medicine.

Shake the night away at a variety of different club-related events and get lost in the loud music and thrumming of the dance floor!

We have also provided a couple of events where socializing is the main aspect — including an outdoor market and a chill-in-the-park music festival for those looking for something more relaxed.

With that, here’s 5 things to do in and around Victoria on Friday, August 4th:

EMO Night at Lucky Bar

Described as an evening of pure emo energy, this special event at Lucky Bar will feature all the hits and emo favourites!

Artists will include Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Jimmy Eat World and The Used, and more.

They’re telling audiences to chuck on favourite band tees, slick on some black eyeliner, grab your buddies and come for a night of nostalgia, catharsis, and unapologetically emotional music.

  • Where: 517 Yates Street
  • When: Friday, August 4th from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Wonderment Fest

Kicking off on Friday, August 4th will be the ambient and chill electro-style free festival, Wonderment — back for their 8th edition!

Their first show will be at Fisherman’s Wharf Park featuring Matthew Cardinal, Tsimka & Michael Red, and the Lekwungen Traditional Dancers.

There won’t concession or vendors on site, so get creative with picnic ideas — just remember to pack out anything that you bring in!

If you’re hoping to attend a more electro-dance style event, Wonderment is offering ticketed evening shows with a variety of different artists.

Friday’s will be DJ K1, Pablo Splice, Hrdvsion B2B Shanx B2B efemme with visuals from Diagraf at Capitol Ballroom.

Tickets are $28 and can be purchased here.
