Where do you think the best place to grab a pint is in BC?
The competition is stiff for this year’s BC Ale Trail Best Brewery Experience Award.
Any of the over 200 breweries that are a part of the collective could win, but the award will go to just one taphouse at the end of the voting period.
To vote, individuals can simply go to the BC Ale Trail’s voting webpage and select the region you’ve had the best brewery experience in and give them their vote.
This award is all about the vibe. The beer has to be good, but so does the atmosphere, the staff, the ambiance and the food. The spot to win this prestigious prize has to go above and beyond.
Greater Victoria has so many well-respected breweries with some of the best brewers coming up with new and exciting beers every day.
Market Square’s Whistle Buoy Brewing currently has a Barbie Strawberry Sour and a Ken Tangerine Wit and they rotate their brews on the regular. Plus they threw one of the summer’s best parties, Whistlemania, for their second birthday.
Small Gods Brewery hit the ground running when they opened up shop in Sidney with their focus on literature and amazing sandwiches along with some of the best classic and contemporary beer such as the slow-pour German pilsner or the Caramel Macchiato Nitro Blonde.
Or it could even go to a newcomer like Swift Brewing just due to the immaculately retro vibe they have established in their oceanside taproom in downtown Victoria.
There are 22 breweries in Greater Victoria that all have something special to offer and there are dozens of breweries up island that stand an equal chance to win as well.
Past winners include R&B Brewing in Vancouver, Twin City Brewing up in Port Alberni, Land & Sea Brewing representing Comox, as well as the reigning champion of 2022, Camp Beer Co. in Langley.
Voters can cast their votes online up until August 31st and the winning brewery will be announced in October.
Those who cast a vote may even win a ‘Beer Lovers Prize Pack’, which includes a $100 gift card to a BC Ale Trail brewery of choice, a limited-edition sling bag, hoodie and camp mug.
