That’s right, Victoria—Crabtoberfest is back and ready for your awaiting bellies!
After last year’s huge success, the Maritime Museum of BC has decided to gift everyone’s taste buds with another fine crab dinner on Saturday, October 14th.
And with a new year comes a new location—this year’s event has moved from Ogden Point to the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney!
Similar to last year, all of the proceeds from this event will go towards supporting the Maritime Museum of BC. Specifically to continue day-to-day operations and help with the running of school and public programs.
Finest At Sea is providing the crab and Portofino Bakery will sponsor the buns!
Choose between a full crab dinner, half crab dinner, or a vegetarian chili—all serviced with a side salad and corn cob.
To quench your thirst, a beerhall will be available beginning at 5 p.m.—beverage tickets are sold separately from entrance tickets and can be purchased on-site.
That’s not all, either! Other sources of entertainment will include Jonnie 5 Brass Band, Victoria’s beloved acapella quartet, the Seeking Sirens, a costume contest, 50/50 raffle draw, Jamie’s famous Beer Tower Silent Auction, and more.
“We’re delighted to feature local group Jonnie 5 Brass Band and a cappella favourites Seeking Sirens for musical entertainment,” said Anya Zanko, the Events and Development Manager at the Museum.
“And be sure to dress up in your crabbiest outfit for a chance to win our Costume Contest!”
So, gather your family and friends and dance to the live music, sing-along sea shanties, and partake in all of the provided activities!
Ticket prices vary depending on the dinner of your choosing and will go live on September 13th at 12 p.m.—be ready to grab yours as soon as they drop on their website.
