Orchestra lovers, rejoice!
In a compelling and moving performance, Apollo e Dafne will grace the stage at downtown Victoria’s Christ Church Cathedral later this month.
On Saturday, September 16th, talented artists will join Pacific Baroque Orchestra in a riveting story told through music—and we’re giving away a pair of tickets so you can experience the magic for yourself! You’ll find those contest details below.

Alongside the Pacific Baroque Orchestra will be soprano Jacqueline Woodley, and baritone Tyler Duncan, and the show will be directed by Alexander Weimann.
Canadian soprano Jacqueline Woodley has been praised for her fearless versatility, changing styles fluidly from early music to contemporary, from opera to art song, and sought-after baritone Tyler Duncan appears regularly on major concert stages around the world.
In Apollo e Dafne, Handel retells the ancient story of a boastful god’s frustrated love and a determined nymph’s unbending resistance.
This dramatic cantata, completed after Handel’s return from Italy, exudes the fresh vitality and self-assurance of a newly famous composer at his homecoming and hints at the future glories of his opera career.
Alongside this colourful early work, the Pacific Baroque Orchestra presents Vivaldi’s Bassoon Concerto in B-flat major (“La Notte”) and Handel’s Overture to Agrippina.
