Gearing up for Halloween?

Well, who doesn’t love galloping through a pumpkin patch?

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to get outside with the family or have been looking for a cute date idea, this is for you!

This year, be sure to get out to the various patches around Victoria to pick out your perfect pumpkin and carve something cute or terrifying—put those creative skills to good use.

Here are 5 places to pick the perfect pumpkin in and around Victoria this fall:

Galey Farms

Pumpkinfest is back at Galey Farms! Throughout October, enjoy the corn maze, farm train haunted house and hayride to the pumpkin patch.

They’ll be open to pumpkin patch lovers until Sunday, October 29th, so there’s plenty of time to visit!

Pick out your perfect pumpkin and get carving!

Ticket prices range from $15 to $22 and include a whole bundle of activities—including a train ride around the perimeter of their fields and along Blenkinsop Creek. It also will take you past their pumpkin patch and Halloween decorated displays.

Michell’s Farm

Michell’s Farm is a sixth generation family owned and operated farm that has been growing on the Saanich Peninsula for over 150 years!

Wander through their spacious and booming pumpkin patch and take home as many as you can carry.

McNab’s Corn Maze

The pumpkin patch at McNab’s farm is in full swing and awaiting your exploration!

Fun for the whole family, so grab your kidlets and make a trip to this charming pumpkin patch near Nanaimo and pick your favourite for carving.

They aren’t offering hayrides or their corn maze this year but everything else will be up and running until October 31st!

  • When: Daily until October 31st from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saanichton Corn Maze

The iconic Ocean View Estates has officially reopened their corn maze and pumpkin patch, and we can’t think of a better way to ring in the new season.

Take your boo, your family, and your friends and enjoy this wonderful autumn experience!

This year, the corn maze has been expanded to an impressive six acres—their biggest one yet.

There will also be a beer garden and Indian food truck on-site on select weekends, and additionally, the pumpkin patch is dog-friendly!

Tickets are available online and are priced at $12 for general admission, $9.50 for children ages 4-12, and kids 3 and under get in for free!

Bickford Farms

This year they’re super thrilled to offer MASSIVE pumpkins, so if you’re looking for a huge canvas for carving, you may want to trek to Bickford Farms!

They also have fresh corn and some scary photobooth setups too—so put on your best fall outfit and get over there.

  • When: Monday to Sunday from 8:30 a.m. until sunset until October 31st
