There is a very exciting mix of activities and happenings in Greater Victoria on Friday and we’ve compiled a highlight list!

The America Crown Circus

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, get ready to be enthralled by the magic of the circus!

The America Crown Circus is currently presenting “Runaway With the Circus” at Victoria’s Mayfair Shopping Centre in the Hudson’s Bay parking lot under a massive tent.

It kicked off on Thursday, October 5th and will be running until Monday, October 9th!

You can either pre-purchase tickets online or buy them at the circus tent on the day of the show. To ensure you secure your spot under the big top, organizers recommend checking out the American Crown Circus’ website for tickets and additional information.

Meet Me in the Bathroom at Lucky Bar

Feeling like an evening of carefree dancing and good vibes?

Inspired by a 2000’s Indie dance party, this Bloghouse beauty will feature DJs Alex Davies & Levi Rawk.

There will be music from A Trak, Alan Braxe, Fred Falke, Bag Raiders, Big Data, Boyz Noise, Cassius, Chromeo, Cut Copy, Daft Punk, and much more!

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.

Check out the opening night for artist and photographer Dylan Cram’s solo exhibition this Friday at Xchanges Gallery!

It’s titled The Filmic Eye, and is “a series of oil paintings depicting the cultural phenomenon of self-narrativization as it pertains to screen identity and the changing face of time.”

As described, Cram’s inspiration for these pieces come from his own experiences dealing with simultaneous expressions of violence and beauty.

The exhibition will run until October 22nd.

OK, DOPE Comedy Show at The Mint

OK, DOPE is back with another comedy night!

This Friday, they’re is thrilled to present the world-renowned, insightful, and relatable comedian Hassan Phills, in the heart of downtown Victoria at The Mint.

He was born in Toronto to Jamaican and Djiboutian parents—his humour is described as conversational and is steeped in anecdotal stories of growing up as someone between worlds while being firmly rooted in himself.

There will be both an early show and a late show—tickets are $25 and can be purchased here!

    • Early show: 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
    • Late show: 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Halloween Ghost Tour

Celebrate the season of horror by taking a tour of the local haunted hotspots!

Discover the Past has a variety of different tour options available under ‘Ghostly Walks’ depending on the time of year.

The Halloween special is only available until October 31st, so don’t miss out on a chilling evening stroll with petrifying with ghost stories and Victoria’s dark history.

Ticket prices vary, but general admission is $21 for adults and $16 for students.
