The 9th annual Victoria International Jewish Film Festival returns this October (CONTEST)

Share

It’s back for its 9th year, and it promises to be better than ever!

We’re talking about the Victoria International Jewish Film Festival (VIJFF), of course, which showcases cross-cultural films with Jewish and Jewish-adjacent themes.

Their fun and fabulous film events are also paired with food and music, reaching diverse audiences, all the while being FREE for the public to attend!

This year’s VIJFF will run from October 17th until October 22nd at the Vic Theatre, as well as online via the VIJFF’s virtual cinema.

The film events are centred around five feature-length films, and will also include engaging live pre-show music, plus in-cinema snacks prepared by local bakeries, patisseries, and caterers.

Plus, we’ve partnered with VIJFF to give away an incredible prize pack worth $275 full of goodies from their nosh partners, including:

  • Tea for two at the Empress Hotel
  • Gift certificate for La Roux Patisserie plus a gift pack!
  • Gift certificate for Fry’s Bakery
  • Gift certificate for Yonni’s Doughnuts

The 9th annual VIJFF officially opens their doors at 6:30 p.m. on October 17th, and though admission is free, donations are appreciated.

“It’s captivating cultural cinema—with film events that treat audiences to some really
interesting music and some really great nosh, like Black Forest Parfait from La Roux
Patisserie,” says festival co-director Deborah Bricks.

Here’s the line-up of film events happening at this year’s VIJFF:
