If you’re already in holiday mode, then we’ve got great news for you—not one, not two, but three Christmas markets kick off on Friday, and all extend over the weekend too.

You’ll find an abundance of phenomenal treats, homemade goods, art, and much more!

Not really into Christmas or don’t want to think about it yet? Not a problem! Blast your blues away at Lucky Bar’s Emo Night or catch a Friday night hockey game.

For all that and more, here’s 5 things to do in and around Victoria on Friday, November 10th:

Yuletide Christmas Market Series

This is a market you won’t want to miss!

With over 90 local businesses over 7 different market days, you’re bound to find something you like at the Yuletide Market Series—whether it’s a gift or a treat for yourself!

The first market will open on Friday, November 10th and will run on select days until Thursday, December 21st. For the full schedule, check out their page.

Friday’s market will feature vendors such as Beeautiful Planet, Bits of Bliss Confectionary, Bussard Grove Pottery, Caitlyn Chapman Studio, Crowfoot Collective, and dot.Naturals.

Entry is $5 per person.

Emo Night at Lucky Bar

Time to swipe on your black eyeliner, throw on your favourite band t-shirt and some fishnets—there’s an Emo Night at Lucky Bar!

Blasting through the speakers will include classics from Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance to Jimmy Eat World and The Used.

Entry is $10 at the door!

Nomad Holiday Market

Vancouver Island is full of talented nomads, which is why the Nomad Holiday Market was created especially to showcase their wonderfully one-of-a-kind items!

Always creative and always pushing boundaries, you’re invited to browse through some of BC’s finest artists from Friday, November 10th to Sunday, November 12th.

Whether it’s for someone on your holiday shopping list or just you, they promise items that will surely ‘wow’ you!

Admission is $5 at the door for a single day, or you can pay $8 for a weekend pass.

Victoria Royals vs. Seattle Thunderbirds

Friday night hockey and a beer—sounds perfect to us!

Watch our home WHL team battle the Seattle Thunderbirds and cheer as loud as you possibly can, so your whoops and hollers fil the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

Ticket prices depend on seat selection but you can get yourself one for as low as $16!

Creative Craft Fairs

Every year, Creative Craft Fairs offers a true extravaganza of outstanding arts, crafts, and demonstrations with their three day event, starting Friday, November 10th, at Victoria’s Pearkes Rec Centre.

Home to thousands of visitors each year, the fair offers over 125 exhibitors presenting gourmet food, photography, clothing, glass art, jewelry, bath and beauty products, woodwork, and much more.

Check out exhibitors like Lochside Pottery, Planet Mushrooms, and even Mystic Moth Apothecary, who will be doing on-site psychic readings!

Plus, Greek On the Street will be providing food, and hourly draw prizes will be given away.
