Share

After a porta-potty was set ablaze earlier this month, police on the West Shore are looking to identify a man they believe may have set the fire.

On November 12th, at approximately 1:16 a.m., West Shore RCMP officers attended the scene of a portable toilet fire at a construction site located near the 3300 block of Luxton Road in Langford.

Police say they were called to the scene by Langford Fire Department who had already put out the flames.

The fire reportedly caused a significant amount of damage to the outer facade of the building.

Police say they believe this was an act of arson.

A video was obtained from a surveillance camera of the site which captured the RCMP’s sole suspect leaving the scene.

According to police, the suspect has light to medium colored skin, was wearing dark colored clothing and a blue baseball cap.

He was last seen on camera at around 12:45 a.m. walking away from the construction site and down the Chidlow Connector.

Anyone with information regarding this arson investigation, or who can identify the suspect should call the West Shore RCMP at (250) 474-2264.
