Have you been to the Bay Centre recently?
The entire building has been decked out with over 70 beautifully decorated trees for their annual Festival of Trees with the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation!
Businesses from across Victoria have come together for the cause, investing in a special spot for their tree with 100% of the proceeds going towards oncology research at the BC Children’s Hospital.
They’re all lined up and beautifully decorated for the community to vote on and enjoy throughout the holiday season until January 3rd.
Take a break from your holiday shopping and see what each company has come up with—you’ll see decorations such as books, barbie dolls, emojis, and much more!
While you wander the Festival of Trees, don’t forget to vote for your favourites and leave a donation if you can.
Any donations that you’re able to make will be going towards a child in need!
In BC alone, there are 150 children every year who are diagnosed with cancer. That means that every two to three days, another family in BC is being told their child has cancer.
No matter where you live in BC, if your child is suspected of having cancer, they will be referred to BC Children’s Hospital for diagnosis and treatment plan.
This underlines the importance of community support, which is what the holidays are all about—being kind and generous.
Every little bit helps and the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation is happy to receive whatever you’re comfortable giving.
