LEGO lovers, rejoice!

The Sidney Museum will welcome their famous LEGO exhibit back for its 18th year starting next month.

Kicking off on Tuesday, January 2nd and running through until Monday, April 1st, visitors and residents alike can head over to the museum and immerse themselves in the wonderous and imaginative world of LEGO.

Hundreds of LEGO sets are expected to be on display, including an array of new additions that will encourage guests who’ve seen it in previous years to come and enjoy it once again.

One of their newest sets will include a The Lord of the Rings structure made with over 6,000 pieces to mark the 70th anniversary of the first book’s publication, The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Fans can also look forward to returning favourites such as extensive Star Wars and Harry Potter displays, construction models, cars, spacecrafts, and architectural marvels including the Taj Mahal set from 2008 made of nearly 6,000 pieces.

The history of LEGO bricks and fun facts about many of the sets will be available for curious readers throughout the exhibit.

Popular activities such as scavenger hunts, “guess the number of bricks”, and “find the hidden minifigure” will be in place for visitors of all ages to participate in and enjoy.

So, whether you’re playing with LEGO bricks and building sets has become a lifelong passion or a newfound hobby, the exhibit has something interesting for everyone!

Entrance to this marvelous exhibit is by donation!
