Holiday concert-goers, this is for you!

After a long break, artistic director and vocalist Cari Burdett is thrilled to announce the return of the Winter Solstice Concert series happening in and around Victoria.

It will consist of three separate shows, including two shows on December 16th at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Sylvan United Church in Mill Bay, as well as one evening show on December 17th in Victoria at 7 p.m. at the Church of Truth.

This special music performance has become a family tradition for many and includes acoustic music, lots of singing with jazz, folk, and new arrangements!

“Every year we offer an array of songs connecting us to different Winter Solstice traditions in the world, and 2023 will not disappoint!” said Burdett.

Burdett is joined by a talented ensemble consisting of Anne Schaefer (vocals, guitar, piano), Quin Etheridge-Pedden (violin, vocals), Adrian Dolan (piano, accordion, vocals, and guitar), Scott White (bass, vocals), Adam Dobres, (guitar), Lila Community Choir, The Collective, along with Special Guests.

They all hope to provide audiences with warmth and peace on the longest night of the year and bring everyone into the seasonal spirit!

Additionally, the concerts will be fundraising for a new society called Arts Based Community Discovery (ABCD), which focuses on supporting relationships in the valley through the Arts and Nature Connection.

Tickets are $20 via Eventbrite or $25 at the door.

The shows sell out every year they occur, so don’t wait until the last minute!
