Prepare to be enthralled as two iconic Canadian legends team up for the ultimate tour—don’t miss singer/songwriter and author Jann Arden and comedian and TV personality Rick Mercer.
Their tour, titled the Will They or Won’t They Tour, will be storming Victoria’s McPherson Playhouse on Sunday, May 26th!
The show was produced by Live Nation Canada and will be a nationwide tour featuring these notable voices in a series of free wheeling, unscripted, unrehearsed, and unrestrained discussions that will have audiences captivated.
They promise an evening of laughter, stories of success and failure, and sharing the inside scoop into life as entertainers over the decades.
Pre-sales for tickets will open on Tuesday, March 5th at 10 a.m. and general sales will begin Friday, March 8th.
Both of these huge stars have a long list of accomplishments and are sure to impress audiences with each and every stop!
As described, Arden is known for her multidimensional talent as a multi-platinum, award-winning singer, songwriter, actor and author of six novels.
She’s released 15 albums with 19 top ten singles—her most recent album, Descendant was released in January 2022.
She’s won a number of awards, including eight JUNO Awards, ten SOCAN Awards, and four Western Canadian Music Awards to name a few!
Plus, she’s the co-creator and star in hit original comedy series JANN, which premiered in September 2021.
Mercer, who first launched his career in 1993, is a well-renowned comedian, TV personality, author, and Canada’s top political satirist, best known for the Canadian Screen Award winning series Rick Mercer Report.
Rick’s weekly helping of topical satire, funny takes on the week’s top stories, Canada wide adventures, and famous rants have made this show a perennial audience favourite.
In 2001 his CBC Television special Talking To Americans became the highest rated Canadian comedy special ever with 2.7 million viewers!
He is the recipient of nearly 30 Gemini Awards and Canadian Screen Awards for television writing and performance, he’s also received The John Drainie Award from ACTRA and was made the Officer of the Order of Canada.
