This past Monday saw rain turn to hail, hail turn to sleet and sleet turn to snow as drivers made the slow crawl home from work.
During this time, the Malahat experienced a near-blizzard of large snowflakes and road conditions worsened into the evening, although on the north side of Duncan, Vancouver Islanders saw only rain throughout the day, and as far up-island as Parksville didn’t get hit with any precipitation.
On Wednesday, March 6th, the forecast is once again calling for possible flurries in amongst rainy conditions for Victoria, Langford, Sooke, the Malahat area, and Duncan.
Despite these predictions, there are no current weather warnings or special weather events forecasted for Vancouver Island.
However, it never hurts to plan your commute accordingly!
