Attention all craft beer enthusiasts and lovers of stellar cuisine!
In collaboration with Hoyne Brewing Co., the Fairmont Empress Hotel will be hosting a ‘Hoyne Around the World’ event on Friday, April 19th in the Bengal Lounge.
Attendees will be treated to a careful selection of craft beers that have been expertly paired with appetizers prepared by Fairmont Empress’ culinary team.
This is a standing reception-style event, and will feature some of Hoyne’s best internationally inspired craft beers that represent various countries from around the globe—including the Czech Republic, Mexico, Canada, Italy, and Belgium.
As highlighted on the Empress’ event page, one of the beers will be crafted by the Young Lions, the next generation of brewers mentored by Sean Hoyne.
“We’re very excited to be collaborating with Hoyne Brewery to bring a beer tasting experience to the community, where locals and guests visiting can try some internationally inspired craft beers and cuisine,” Lisa McPhail, the Director of Public Relations at the Fairmont Empress told Victoria Buzz.
“Our culinary team always does an exceptional job, and this time around they have created a menu that perfectly complements the diverse selection of each brew and the country it represents.”
The menu, created by the Banquet Chef Mark Classen, will complement each international brew and completely transform your tasting experience.
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy dishes such as Burrata, paired with the Che Bello Italian Pilsner from Italy; a 36-hour Short Rib, paired with Svec Half-Dark Czech Lager from Czechia; and more.
Even the Maple Sugar Pie dessert with cherry and crème fraiche cremeux will have a complementary beer!
“Each dish is designed to enhance the flavours of the beer and take your palate on a journey around the world,” McPhail added.
