Happy Wednesday, Victoria!

We hope you’re feeling refreshed after a nice long weekend and have jumped into this week with high spirits.

If you’re still feeling that mid-week slump and need a pick-me-up, look no further! Choose between a fun night of Friends themed trivia, a wee road trip to a delectable winery and a unique performance at the Victoria Events Centre (VEC).

Here’s 5 things to do in and around Victoria this Wednesday, May 22nd:

Friends Themed Trivia at Monkey Tree Pub

The One Where…your team absolutely crushes at Friends themed trivia!

Gather a group of your sitcom pals and swing over to the Monkey Tree Pub for a night of laughs, prizes and (hopefully) winning.

No tickets required!

  • Where: Monkey Tree Pub, 4025 Borden Street
  • When: Wednesday, May 22nd at 7:30 p.m.

Banned From the Concert Hall: VEC

The Victoria Event Centre (VEC) is thrilled to present a titillating evening of dirty drinking songs sung to you by Victoria Baroque—covering material from sex and alcohol to nasty humour.

After a sold-out concert in November, this group of talented performers are offering you a second chance to catch this belly-achingly funny show.

General admission tickets are just over $33 and can be purchased here.

  • Where: VEC, 1415 Broad Street
  • When: Wednesday, May 22nd at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.)

Comedy Night at The Mint

Dim the lights and set the stage—Morgan Cranny and Drew Farrance have picked another great lineup for this Wednesday’s comedy night!

Always new and always filling up fast, be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here!

  • Where: The Mint, 1414 Douglas Street
  • When: Wednesday, May 22nd from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Play Pickleball

Zip up the paddles and gather your pickleballs, it’s time to hit the court!

In case you haven’t yet heard, there’s a new pickleball centre open and you can book lessons or court time.

Take a look at their full schedule and decide what works best for you—whether it’s drop-in, a lesson or you’d like to make a reservation.

If you’re hoping to go but don’t have an established group of pickleball-loving pals, the Victoria Pickleball Centre has also started a Facebook group solely dedicated to making these plans.

They offer an abundance of different membership levels, so you’re sure to find the right fit for you. Those can be viewed here.

  • Where: Victoria Pickleball Centre, 2950 West Shore Parkway #136
  • When: Wednesday, May 22nd from 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Church and State Winery

Looking to fully embrace the warming days and lingering sunshine?

If you’re up for a wee drive, we recommend checking out a beloved winery, Church and State Wines, serving guests award-winning wines and offering splendid views.

It’s available for walk-in and private bookings!

  • Where: Church and State Wines, 1445 Benvenuto Avenue
  • When: Wednesday, May 22nd from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
