Tea time: Popular Oak Bay Tea Party returning to Willows Beach this weekend

It’s time for tea, Victoria!

This year’s annual Oak Bay Tea Party marks their 62nd year running—becoming an immediate community favourite after its inception in 1962 when Allan Cox, Q.C. was the Reeve of Oak Bay.

Join the residents, business owners and regulars at Willows Beach from Friday, May 31st to Sunday, June 2nd for a weekend of family-friendly fun!

Attendees can expect delectable food choices, floating tea cup challenge, live performances, a kids’ craft centre, fair rides and more.

The annual event is not only an exciting time for the community, it also helps service organizations, such as the Kiwanis and Lions, raise funds for their many community projects.

The anticipated Midway, brought to you by Shooting Star Amusements, will kick off from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday.

Wristbands can be purchased here—presale prices are $30 until May 31st, and $40 for regular admission after that.

If you don’t want to commit to the full day of rides, you can purchase individual tickets as opposed to a wristband.

Don’t forget about their beloved event tradition and star of the annual event, the Tea Party Parade on Saturday, June 1st!

It departs from Windsor Park at 10:30 a.m., winding through the streets of Oak Bay and ending at Willows Beach.

Plus, Esquimalt Lions are once again providing a delicious pancake breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m.
