Don’t miss out on an incredible cultural event right here in Victoria!

Join the AACCCS-Issamba Center as they celebrate their 11th annual AfriCA Fest—a vibrant three-day festival that honours African and Caribbean culture.

It will run from Friday, June 21st to Sunday, June 23rd at Centennial Square, and attendees will be immersed in the diverse and rich heritage through music, dance, art and food!

An array of performances awaits you, from soulful melodies of the Sahara to the high-energy beats of West African drums, you’ll have the opportunity to experience it all.

Highlights include some electrifying performances from headliner MamaKaffe from Ivory Coast and Waahli from Montreal; a marketplace with plenty of authentic African crafts, textiles and artwork for sale; and culinary delights featuring dishes from many different African countries.

Also included in the festival will be some interactive cultural displays such as workshops, art exhibitions and displays that showcase the depth and diversity of African traditions.

“AfriCA Fest is more than just a festival; it’s a celebration of unity, diversity, and cultural Heritage,” a media release reads.

“We invite the community…to join us in this joyous celebration.”

The AACCCS-Isaamba Centre is dedicated to the promotion of understanding and appreciation for African heritage and culture—through events like this, they wish to share stories of home and ancestry with the community.
