Here’s where you can contribute feedback on BC Transit’s new RapidBus line

Share

BC Transit and the Victoria Regional Transit Commission are seeking the public’s feedback regarding future route additions and changes.

They’re looking to implement Route 96 Blink, which is a McKenzie RapidBus line that would get riders to their destination between Uptown and UVic faster.

In preparation for this implementation, they are proposing changes to four existing routes and the addition of two new routes.

The following routes are on their proposed ‘to change’ list:

  • Route 24 Cedar Hill/Tillicum Centre
  • Route 25 Maplewood/Tillicum Centre
  • Route 26 Dockyard/UVic
  • Route 72 Swartz Bay Downtown

The new routes they wish to introduce include Route 16 Uptown/UVic, which would travel on Cedar Hill Cross Road, and Route 40 Dockyard/UVic that would travel on Admirals and Mckenzie

If you wish to contribute your say, they’re hosting open house engagements sessions at the following locations:

  • Wednesday June 19 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in front of the library at Esquimalt Town Square
  • Wednesday June 19 from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on the SUB side of the UVic Transit Exchange
  • Thursday June 20 from 4:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Uptown across from Erito Sushi

There will also be an online survey available starting today, Monday, June 17th, and is open until Tuesday, July 2nd.
