Saanich Police hope to locate second missing person from mental health facility this week (UPDATED)

UPDATE — Saanich Police say that Barbree Elliott has been located and is now safe.

Saanich Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 41-year-old woman who is the second person to go missing from Seven Oaks Tertiary Mental Health Facility this week.

Barbree Elliott was last seen in the afternoon of Wednesday, June 12th.

Elliott is described as standing 5’9” tall, weighing around 270 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

“We have concern for Barbree as she fits the criteria for a high-risk missing person, specific to her cognitive abilities and medical conditions,” stated Inspector Damian Kowalewich.

“Our officers are working with her family and other agencies to locate her but encourage any information from the public.”

According to the BC Provincial Policing Standards, a missing person is considered high-risk if their health or wellbeing may be in immediate danger due to apparent vulnerability.

Saanich Police say she is known to frequent the downtown Victoria area.

Anyone who may have seen Barbree Elliott or may know her whereabouts should call Saanich Police at (250) 475-4321.

Another woman, 27-year-old Brooke-Lynn Williamson went missing from the same mental health facility earlier this week and is also considered to be a high-risk missing person.
