Orville Peck and Noah Cyrus sang a duet to close out Phillips’ last day of ‘Tilt!’ (PHOTOS)

The last day of Phillips Brewing’s ‘Tilt!’ festival certainly wasn’t the least!

The day was hot once again, but the vibes were high, and everyone was feeling the love after arriving at Phillips’ backyard from Pride Parade festivities.

Born Reckless started the day off and enjoyed a few of Phillips’ Tilt! Lagers on stage.

They brought with them whaling guitar riffs over gravelly vocals, singing their country anthems  for all to enjoy.

Following them, Haleluya Hailu got up with a bit of a vibe change, but definitely not for the worse.

They were endearing and charismatic, playing sad girl bops and using the crowd as a replacement for their therapist.

Haleluya Hailu is only a hop skip and a jump away because they are based out of Vancouver, so keep an eye out for their shows in the future.

Next up was Goldie Boutiliier, a rising Canadian musician currently touring with the evening’s headliner, Orville Peck.

She played her own brand of poppy country, overlaid with heavy guitar riffs and groovy baselines that kept the crowd moving.

Noah Cyrus was next up on stage.

Many people know her as the sister of Miley Cyrus but she has powerhouse vocals and is an icon in her own right.

She had a full band of talented players with her to make her songs come to life in the backyard.

Her presence in Victoria may have been a once in a lifetime opportunity, and all in attendance knew it and savoured every moment.

Lastly, to close out the first of two Phillips festivals this summer, the one and only Orville Peck took the stage.

He has become one of the most iconic performers and songwriters in the country western genre and it was an absolute treat to have him in Victoria—especially considering Sunday was also the Pride parade.

Peck sang songs off all his records, Pony, Show Pony, Bronco and his latest duets album, Stampede: Vol. 1.

Crowd favourites were definitely his opener “Big Sky” and one of his latest hits, “Cowboys are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other.”

As an extra special treat, he brought Noah Cyrus back out on stage to perform “How Far Will We Take It?”, another one off his duets album which was just released on May 9th.

During the song, he and Cyrus noticed an audience member in need of medical attention, so they stopped the show and waited until the individual had been attended to and was safe before picking things up where they left off.

Overall, it was a hot, fun weekend and there is still one more Phillips festival to go this summer.

Check out all the photos from last evening below, and if you haven’t got tickets to August’s ‘Reverb’ yet, get them while you can!
