Superheroes of the community unite!
In honour of the Superheroes of Victoria’s 15th anniversary, they’ll be hosting a massive super summer kids day to celebrate.
It will take place on Saturday, July 20th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Starlight Stadium and is accessible to all ages and abilities.
“I am excited to be part of the Super Summer Kids Day event. What a fantastic way to bring the community together to raise much-needed funds for the BC Children’s Hospital,” said Scott Goodmanson, Mayor of Langford.
“It will be a day filled with activities, music, food, live entertainment, and, of course, the chance to meet the Superheroes of Victoria.”
Some of the day’s highlights include a dunk tank, inflatables, a variety of food vendors with tasty treats, circus performers, martial arts demonstrations, a DJ and many interactive games.
Plus, there will be around 25-30 of the Superheroes walking around, including Batman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Captain America and more!
This event is by donation and proceeds go towards the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
The Superheroes of Victoria are a charity group dedicated to raising awareness for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, their Be a Superhero Campaign, as well as healthcare workers and emergency responders.
Their activities bring them across Greater Victoria, spreading joy and awareness while dressed as some of your favourite superheroes.
Plus, they’re 100% volunteer-run!
“This city not only deserves real heroes doing good things, but real people doing great things,” a media release reads.
“Help us make a difference for the heroes in our community and put a smile back on a child’s face.”
