Market lovers, this is for you!
In a supportive and community-oriented collaboration, the Mental Health Recovery Partners South Island (MHRP SI) and Quadra Village Community Centre (QVCC) are hosting their first-ever Quadra Night Market.
It will take place on Thursday, August 8th on the field at 950 Kings Road from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., and is not only a spectacular hotspot for neat finds, it’s also a fundraiser!
The proceeds will be split and donated between MHRP SI and QVCC, both of which are registered nonprofits offering free, self-referral, life changing services to the community.
“Fundraising events like the Quadra Night Market help us to create awareness about mental health and our programs so we can continue to make a difference in the lives of many,” said Zoë Newson, Transitional Discharge Model Peer Support Manager from MHRP SI.
Services include accessible support for mental health, food distribution, youth and family services and much more.
“We hope that this partnership continues to flourish and supports us to raise awareness about the services and programs offered by each organization,” added Amber Bell, Youth Coordinator at QVCC.
The night market will feature 21 incredible local vendors, raffle prizes, a curated thrifting section with second hand vintage clothing and accessories, music and more!
Admission is set at a suggested $5 donation and/or non-perishable food items. Those aged 16 and under can get in for free.
