The results are in and we can imagine there are two very happy residents right now!
Two lucky Greater Victoria residents are now hundreds of thousands richer after winning big prizes from Lotto 649 and Lotto Max.
One of the winners lives in Victoria, and won a whopping $1 million from playing Lotto Max MAXMILLIONS, drawn on Friday, August 9th.
There were just under 40 number sequences drawn, and of the winning numbers, only nine people across Canada took home $1 million.
The winning numbers for the Victoria resident were 6 11 22 34 37 42 47.
No one won the main $70 million Lotto Max prize.
Following the huge win in Victoria, Lotto 649 was drawn on Saturday, August 10th and a Sidney resident took home $500,000 in the Classic Draw Extra Prize.
Only one other person in Maple Ridge took home this prize amount, the majority of others winning between $1 and $10.
The winning numbers for the Sidney resident were 69 83 93 96.
