As the off-season comes to a close, Victoria Royals players are attending Training Camp this week in preparation for what hopes to be a very victorious 2024/25 season.
The camp on home ice will be capped off with an intra-squad game on Sunday, September 1st which will consist of Royal vs. Royal action, following being split into four teams for a round-robin tournament.
Puck drop for the intra-squad game is set for 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre (SOFMC), and will be open to the public with admission by donation to the Victoria Royals Foundation—doors to the arena will open to fans at 4 p.m.
Main Training Camp kicked off at SOFMC on Thursday, August 29th and will run through Sunday, September 1st.
The players have been split up into four teams and will take part in practices and a round-robin tournament at SOFMC, as follows:
Friday, August 30th:
10 a.m. – Team Blue vs. Team Red
10 a.m. – Team Black vs. Team Red
3:30 p.m. – Team Blue vs. Team Black
4:30 p.m. – Team White vs. Team Red
Saturday, August 31st:
10 a.m. – Team Black vs. Team White
11 a.m. – Team Red vs. Team Blue
3:30 p.m. – 3rd Place vs. 4th Place
4:30 p.m. – 1st Place vs. 2nd Place
Sunday, September 1st (open to the public)
5 p.m. – Showcase Game

Following this, the Royals will take all three of their preseason games on the road before heading back for their official 2024/25 home opener on Friday, September 20th versus the Tri-City Americans.
