You’ve made it through another work week and now it’s time to celebrate—whether it’s in Langford at their Food Truck and Music Festival or taking yourself to a play, there’s something for everyone.

Victoria Royals Home Opener

Be a part of the Victoria Royals’ home opener as they welcome their 68-game regular season September 20th and 21st with back-to-back games against the Tri-City Americans at Save-on-Foods Memorial ­Centre.

Don’t wait too long to snag Friday’s tickets because everyone in attendance will have the chance to win tickets to Taylor Swift’s sold-out show in Vancouver this December!

Tickets prices vary by seat selection and they can be purchased online.

Langford Station Food Truck and Music Festival

The City of Langford is excited to invite everyone back to the Langford Station for their third annual Food Truck and Music Festival!

It kicks off this Friday, September 20th and runs until Saturday, September 21st. In addition to the Langford Station stages, the festival has expanded this year to include Veterans Memorial park on Saturday!

This event will include a variety of food trucks and vendors, along with games and activities to entertain all age groups.

From Alaska at The Belfry

From Alaska is an award-winning francophone play that casts audiences into the world of magical realism.

The story follows a retired librarian who is held hostage by a tough-talking teenager, and they gradually discover that they share grief.

Tickets are charged on a ‘pay-what-you-can’ basis, and prices start at $19.95.

Rally for LGBTQ+

In response to the 1 Million March for Children, which has been labeled ‘transphobic’ after their protests against the inclusion of gender inclusivity in schools, a counter rally will be held in celebration of transgender and gender-diverse people.

The rally, 1 Million Voices for Inclusion (1MVFI) and Finn’s Future, will take place at the Legislative Assembly of BC on Friday, September 20th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It will include featured speakers, a choir and other live music, poetry readings, a youth-led drag show, arts and crafts, info booths and much more.

Theatre Production at UVic

Visit the University of Victoria’s Phoenix Theatre and witness their production of Eyes of the Beast: Climate Disaster Survivor Stories.

This relevant and powerful story is adapted from the award-wining journalism of the Climate Disaster Project, and follows ordinary people surviving extraordinary times.

Their first show kicked off on Monday, September 16th and will play until Saturday, September 21st.
