In case you weren’t quite awake yet and missed the stellar sunrise on Monday, September 2nd, we wanted to give you a little taste of the beauty!
The distinct sunrays made this sunrise extra special and unique, and were clearly visible from any viewpoint—no filters needed!
What causes these majestic sunrays, you ask? It’s dust or other dry particles reflecting light from the rising sun! Dust filters out shorter wavelengths, leaving only yellow, orange, and red light, creating the illusion of fanning rays.
