The sun was out and so was Victoria yesterday as day two of Rifflandia got underway!
Taki’s were back once again, and they kept people well-fed for a full day of comedy and music, along with all the food trucks and drink vendors.
Day two featured some of the world’s biggest artists, with TLC and Oliver Tree on the main stage.
Oliver Tree insisted while on stage that he was born in Victoria at the Royal Jubilee Hospital and attended South Park Family School until he was 6-years-old.
These claims are not supported by any information online and he was likely saying this for the bit.
Broken Social Scene was another highlight of the day!
The Toronto-based supergroup encountered some technical difficulties before their set but ultimately managed to perform everything they hoped to.
As an added bonus for Rifflandians, the one and only Leslie Feist joined Broken Social Scene on stage to perform a few songs.
Feist was part of the band between the years of 2002 and 2005, as well as in 2009 and 2017.
Together, Feist and Broken Social Scene brought the crowd to tears.
The headliner of the night was the incomparable TLC.
They played all the hits “Creep”, “Waterfalls”, “No Scrubs”, and “Unpretty”, as they were celebrating the 30th anniversary of their CrazySexyCool.
With one last day to get in on Rifflandia, there are still tickets available!
On Sunday, Crash Test Dummies, De La Soul, L7, K-OS, Feist, The Beaches and so many more amazing artists, bands, DJs and comedians will be taking the stage.
