The rain didn’t put a damper on Rifflandia’s kick-off this year, as thousands came down to Rock Bay.
This year’s site features the same art, vendors, and four stages, but with a fresh, new layout.
Everything is a bit bigger this year, including the dome, which is over double the size of last year’s.
Kidlandia has also expanded and is a perfect place for young ones to play and engage with the music and one another.
The Lafflandia stage was also expanded and, just like last year, it’s an absolute hit. Every comedy set, the audience was overflowing.
The artists and bands that played on Friday went over and above everyone’s expectations.
Some highlights were Ja Rule, Rezz, C&C Music Factory, Born Ruffians and of course, Tokyo Police Club’s last performance in Victoria before they disband.
And if you’re having some FOMO, there are still tickets available for the next couple days!
On Saturday, Oliver Tree, TLC, Broken Social Scene and so many more amazing artists, bands, DJs and comedians will be taking the stage.
Below are some photos of the highlights on Friday:
