Once again, Victoria’s Ultimate Hobby and Toy Fair is coming back and will be taking over Pearkes Arena this fall.
Happening this weekend, September 21st through September 22nd, this event is perfect for kids as well as toy and hobby lovers of all ages looking to add something to their collections.
Driven by nostalgia, there will be over 200 tables with a myriad of toys, action figures, collectibles, vinyl records, models, diecast vehicles and all kinds of hobby-related items.
Not only is this a good place to find a gift or treat yourself, but it is also a charity event raising money for the BC Children’s Hospital and the MS Society of BC.
“So many people tell me how much they look forward to this event. We love seeing everyone’s smiling faces and hearing what they have found,” said Candice Woodward, promoter and organizer of the event.
“We also get to give back to the community and raise money for local charities, which is really important to us. It’s just such a great weekend.”
Money will be raised for these charities by way of a silent auction taking place during the event.
Through the years, the fair has raised over $68,000 for its local charity partners.
Not only will there be toys galore, but there will also be local food vendors, balloon art, a massive Wild West LEGO display and door prizes every half hour.
Additionally, the 501 Outer Rim Garrison will be there cosplaying as everyone’s favourite Star Wars characters and will be taking photos with young and old sci-fi fans alike!
The Ultimate Toy Fair has been going since 2007 and takes place twice annually.
