Last week, pop icon Pink made a surprise visit to a local restaurant in Lake Cowichan.
While these celebrity sightings may happen more often than we realize, it’s not every day a mega pop star shows up at a small-town eatery.
The excitement unfolded at Jake At The Lake when the globally renowned singer, known for her hits like “Just Give Me a Reason,” “Raise Your Glass,” and “So What,” made a stop during her time on Vancouver Island.
Pink was in BC for two long-awaited concerts in Vancouver, which were originally scheduled for 2023 but postponed until this year.
Prior to performing at Rogers Arena on Friday, September 6th, and Saturday, September 7th, Pink ventured out to the island, where she spent part of her downtime exploring Lake Cowichan.
On Thursday evening, she stopped in at Jake At The Lake and enjoyed a drink, making quite the impression on the staff.
In a Facebook post shared by the restaurant on Monday, staff members revealed the exciting visit. “We didn’t want to post right away to respect her privacy, but it was so nice of her to take the time to take a picture,” they wrote.
The post featured a photo of three staff members posing with the 45-year-old star, who graciously took the time for a quick snap.
The restaurant even spilled some tea (or rather, espresso) on Pink’s choice of beverage: “FYI — Pink loved our Espresso Martini!” the post read, adding a cheeky invitation, “Come give it a try yourself.”
After her visit to Vancouver Island, Pink wrapped up her highly anticipated performances in Vancouver, leaving both concertgoers and restaurant staff with memories to cherish.
