2024 Victoria Festival of Authors
The 8th annual Victoria Festival of Authors will take place from Wednesday, October 16th to Sunday, October 20th and will feature a variety of events with authors spanning across numerous genres.
Events will kick off at 7:30 p.m. with “Writing for the Next Generation: the Importance of Indigenous Children’s Books”, moderated by Monique Gray Smith and curated by Nadya Comeau.
It will be held at Langham Court Theatre with authors Leslie Gentile, Ren Louie and Karen Whetung—who recently published her book, Four Fallen Eagles.

‘I Hate Magic’ with Rob Teszka
Join award-winning magician Rob Teszka as he humorously explores why some people hate magic by diving into some of the worst tropes in his trade.
As described, ‘I Hate Magic’ lovingly skewers the inauthenticity surrounding an artform all about deception.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased via Eventbrite.

Michell’s Farm is a sixth generation family owned and operated farm that has been growing on the Saanich Peninsula for over 150 years!
